There will be a special event on Sunday, June 14. That day, "Victorian Sunday in the Park" will take place at Library Park in Fort Collins. It runs from 11 am until 4 in the afternoon. Our society will have a table there to let the community know about us. Volunteers are needed to staff the table. Last year was the first time it was held and was a major success. It should be bigger and better this year.
Another event coming in June that may interest our members is the Colorado Family History Expo to be held on June 12 & 13 at the new Embassy Suites and Conference Center at the Ranch Fairgrounds in Loveland, Colorado.
This is the first major conference expo in Colorado. The Family History Expo organizer holds similar expos in Utah and Arizona since 2003, but is expanding to Colorado, Wyoming, and Los Angeles this year.
Over 2,000 genealogists, over 80 educational classes, and about 40 vendors are expected to attend the conference in June. You'll see advertising in libraries, FHCs, and on TV for this major event in the coming months.
